The Jammu and Kashmir are all set to receive wide-ranging assistance from Union Ministry of Human Resource Development to improve school education in the state.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on the sidelines of Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE) meeting on Monday.

The spokesman said a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Secretary School Education, Farooq Ahmed Shah from J&K side and union Secretary MHRD in presence of Union MHRD Minister Prakash Javadekar and Minister for Education J&K, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari.

As per the MoU, for next three years MHRD would extend all sought of assistance to enable the state to improve school education in terms of infrastructure development, teaching-learning methodology through extensive capacity development and promote allied activities like promotion of student to student contact with other states by sponsoring tours from  here to other parts of country and vice-versa.

The MHRD will also help the state to strengthen and revive DIETs and SIET by extending required expertise and upgrading of infrastructure, hold teacher training sessions on regular intervals, especially to impart subject-specific training.
