Mian Abdul Qayoom, one of Kashmir’s prominent lawyers, was Thursday re-elected as president of Kashmir High Court Bar Association (KHCBA).

The spokesperson of the Bar said that Mian Abdul Qayoom won the elections for the coveted post 20th time, unopposed.

Besides, Aijaz Bedar won the Vice-President’s post, Muhammad Ashraf Bhat was elected the Secretary General of the Bar.

Similarly, Adil Asimi was elected Joint Secretary and Bilal Ahmad Wani was elected treasurer

Elected for the first time in 1986 as HCBA president, advocate Qayoom has been re-elected 20 times, except the time he was jailed or did not contest the elections.
