SRINAGAR: Army on Sunday claimed to have arrested two persons including a militant during a search operation in Chatpura village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
An army spokesman said that a joint operation was launched on Saturday evening based on intelligence inputs about the presence of a person from Handwara, who was actively involved with the militants.

He said during the search operation, the associate was arrested and upon interrogation, the presence of a militant was revealed in a nearby madrassa.
Spot interrogation revealed the presence of a terrorist in a nearby Madrassa.
During further search operation, a terrorist (name withheld) was apprehended.

A militant(name withheld) was arrested, he said.
