A militant and an army man was killed during an encounter between the militants and government forces in Dalwach Dooru area of south Kashmir’s Islamabad district.
Reports said that an army man and a militant was killed during a pre-dawn encounter at Dalwach Dooru in Islamabad. Reportedly a search operation is underway as the government forces suspect more militants could be hiding at the area.
“Operation was launched based on specific information. We have lost one soldier and one militant has been killed in the operation,” a senior police officer told NDTV.
Meanwhile, Internet services in Islamabad have been suspended by the authorities for the precautionary reasons.
