Police on Thursday arrested a Kashmiri militant who was returning under J&K government’s new rehabilitation policy. The militant along with his wife and children was arrested on Nepal border.

Sources said that the militant was returning along with his Kashmiri wife and eight children.

Sources said The militant identified as Mukhtar Ahmad had crossed over to Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK) in 2001.

They added that in 2003, he came to take back his wife Shamima Akhtar with him. After a gap of 11 years Mukhtar was returning via Nepal border and where police arrested him along with his wife and children.
