Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a militant associate in south Kashmir’s Tral town.
A police spokesman in a statement said that he has been identified as Jahangir Ahmad Parray of Gulsahanpora Tral.
“As per police records he has been assisting the active militants of proscribed outfit HM operating in the areas of Gulsahanpora, Seer, Pasoona, Wagad, Larow, Lurgam, Mongahama and other areas of Tral,” said the spokesman.
“As per the investigation, he was involved in providing logistic support and assistance to HM militants operating in the areas of Tral,” he said.
“A case FIR No 03/2020 under relevant section of law has been registered at Police Station Tral and further investigation in the matter is in progress,” said the spokesman.
