Army Monday claimed to have busted a militant hideout at North Kashmir’s Baramulla area and recovered large quantity of ammunition from the spot.
In a statement issued to KNS, Army spokesman said that a tip off information was received about the militant hideout on October 06. The statement further mentioned that a search operation was launched in the area by 46 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion (SIKH) and SOG, Baramulla
“After a deliberate search for four hours, a hideout was busted in the outskirts of Baramulla Town,” reads the statement adding that one Disposal Rocket Launcher, two Rocket Propelled Grenades, one Rifle AK 56, four magazines of Rifle AK 56, 286 rounds of Rifle AK 56, one pistol, one pistol magazine, 18 rounds of pistol ammunition, one Radio Set, one set Khaki Uniform and two letter pad leaves of Jamatt-Ul-Mujahidin Jammu and Kashmir other administrative items were recovered.
