Paying glowing tributes to Sajad Ahmad Bhat, who was killed in a brief gunfight with forces late Monday evening, an All Parties Hurriyat Conference (m) spokesperson Tuesday said the selfless sacrifices of the Kashmiri people during the ongoing “resistance movement” constitute the “most valuable asset of the struggle” and international community should play its role for the resolution of Kashmir issue keeping in view the sacrifices and aspirations of the people of Jammu Kashmir.
Expressing sympathy with the family of the slain youth, the spokesperson said, “atrocities and oppression cannot keep any people from achieving their Right of Self Determination for long neither could a lasting peace in South Asia be achieved by keeping people of Kashmir out of any process aimed at the resolution of this issue.”
He also condoled the demise of the mother of Shaheed Sajad Ahmad Kenu and paid glowing tributes to the entire family who had made great sacrifices for the cause of Kashmir.
Terming her a noble and kind woman “who had shown courage and extraordinary willpower during the ongoing resistance movement”, the APHC-m spokesperson prayed to the Almighty Allah to grant her soul peace.
