Militant killings: Scores injured in Pulwama protests, one hit by bullet in chest

After the news of killing of two militants by government forces spread in Pulwama, intense clashes erupted from Tahab village and Pulwama town.

The slain militants have been identified as Shariq Ahmad Sheikh of Takuna Pulwama and Shabir Mir of Mihind village of Islamabad.

According to reports, over a dozen persons were injured in government forces action of dispersing the protesters.

The locals told Kashmir Life over phone that “even live ammunition was used by forces in which Asif Ahmad, a resident of Lassipora, was hit by a bullet in his chest. He was shifted to District Hospital Pulwama for treatment.

Internet services were also suspended in the district following the killing of the militants.
