Militants on Thursday appeared in Arwani village of south Kashmir’s Islamabad district and resorted to aerial firing.
An official said that militants appeared in Arwani market and fired few shots in the air. “They warned the shopkeepers to close their shops and ensured shutdown before leaving the area,” the official said.
Pertinently, a complete shutdown was observed in Islamabad and Kulgam district today against the killing of local militant Bilal Ahmed, a resident of Khudwani and Abid Hussain Bhat, son of Wali Mohd Bhat, a resident of Sazan, Bagwah, Doda, during an encounter with government forces in Mehmaan Mohalla Islamabad, on July 25, 2018.
