Militants on Sunday afternoon attacked an army cavalcade in Awantipora town of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Official sources said that militants fired upon a forces cavalcade at Malangpora, near Awantipora. However, there was no damage reported in the incident.
Meanwhile, forces have laid siege to the area and a cordon and search operation has just begun.
