Suspected militants on Tuesday late afternoon opened fire on Dy SP headquarters Shopian, Ashiq Tak when he was on way to Shopian from Beehibagh area of the district in southern part of Kashmir.

Tak escaped unhurt in the incident, a police official said.
Reports revealed that suspected militants fired indiscriminately on the vehicle of Dy SP near Kundalan. However, Tak and other police officials are safe, they said.
