Militants attack police camp in south Kashmir

Srinagar

Militants on Thursday evening attacked a police camp in Shopian district of south Kashmir.

Initial reports suggest that militants hurled a grenade on a police camp, a station for an IRP (Indian Reserve Police) battalion and the office of ASP (assistant superintendent of police), in Gagran Shopian.

The men guarding the camp fired some rounds in retaliation, however, there are no reports of any damage or loss of life.

Meanwhile, forces have cordoned off the area and searches in the area are going on.
