Militants on Thursday late afternoon shot at a policeman in Chutipora Imamsahib area of Shopian district.
Reports said that a sub inspector posted at Islamabad was on a holiday at his home and was playing volleyball with his friends when militants called him at shot at his leg.
Identified as Gowhar Ahmad, he was later taken to sub district hospital Shopian for treatment. However from there he was referred to Bone and Joint Hospital for specialised treatment.
