SRINAGAR: Suspected militants have taken an unspecified number of weapons from a police post in Shopian, reports reaching here said.
Though no senior police official was accessible at this point of time, sketchy details suggested that a group of suspected militants silently jumped into the police post outside the Court Complex in Shopian and took away their service rifles.
Efforts to get details from concerned police officials failed as nobody picked the phone. Reports said that neither side fired even a single bullet.
The reports came a day after five cops and two private bank guards were killed in a Kulgam village soon after they dropped the cash in the belt.
