Claiming that the infiltration bids across the line of control (LOC) have’ remarkably’ decreased, the Director General of Police (DGP) Monday said that the militant groups operating in valley have changed their strategy.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) during the side lines of the function of passing out parade of police  at Lehpora Pulwama, DGP said that that earlier militants used to target civilians in valley during their operations and that at present they have changed their strategy and have now focused on police and security forces. “Police also has adopted the modernized tactics to face threats posed by the militant groups in valley.”

DGP further stated that the police has in the past as well faced many threats from the militants and that it at present is fully equipped to face the challenges of any sort. “Our forces guard the civilian lives and has played vital role in the restoration of normalcy in valley.”

Commenting over the infiltration reports at LOC, DGP stated that the infiltration bids during the recent past has been remarkably decreased.
