Suspected militants Thursday afternoon hurled a grenade on CRPF vehicle at Jehangir Chowk in Srinagar.
However, sources said the grenade exploded on road injuring 5 civilians.
The injured have been rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
SSP Srinagar, Imtiaz Ismail Parray told reporters that some miscreant tried to throw a grenade on the deployment but reportedly it exploded close to him and he (miscreant) is injured.
