Following the killing of two top Hizb Ul Mujahideen militants early Thursday in South Kashmir’s Shopian district, protests erupted in Pulwama areas.
Reports reaching here said that heavy anti-India and pro-freedom slogans were raised by youth in various areas of Pulwama and Shopian.
“Intense stone pelting is going on in Newa, Karimabad and other areas,” reports said.
They added that a police van too has been burnt down by the protestors.
The two slain militants are locals and belong to native Pulwama district.
