Militants shot at a CRPF Assistant Sub Inspector in Muran Chowk of Pulwama, official sources said.
The ASI, whose identity was not immediately known, was shot at from a close range. He was evacuated to the hospital, reports said.
Meanwhile, the government forces have cordoned off parts of Kota Satri forest Belt in Bandipora district of northern Kashmir after gun shots were heard on Tuesday, reports said. More details about the incident are awaited.
