SRINAGAR
At least three police men were injured on Saturday when suspected militants attacked a police party in the South Kashmir town of Shopian.
Local sources said that militants fired upon a police vehicle in the Bonegam Chowk of the town.
“As the firing started everybody ran for his life but we saw two civilians and three policemen who were injured in the attack,” eyewitnesses told Kashmir Life.
Sources said that police and forces have cordoned off the area and an operation has been started against the militants.
