The Army said three of their personnel were killed by militants on Friday in an attack in Tral town of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

“Acting upon a tip off 3 RR personnel were busy cordoning Harde Buchoo village in Tral Tehsil when they came under an attack from militants. The militants were hiding in nearby forest and the attack was so sudden that our three jawans killed on spot,” Lt. Col. Ankur Vashist in Srinagar said to Kashmir Life.

He added that extra forces have been rushed to the spot that cordoned off the area and search operation is in full swing. Defense sources said that forces think that the attackers are still hiding in the area so a combing operation has been started.

Pertinently a top militant, Molvi Hilal, was killed in Srinagar on Thursday. He was killed in old Srinagar area and three cops were also injured in the gunbattle.
