The Minister made the remarks during a high-level meeting with senior officers of the district administration, where she reviewed flagship schemes and urged effective convergence between the Social Welfare Department, Rural Development Department, and allied agencies to ensure maximum outreach.

Earlier, the Minister conducted an extensive tour of the Pampore constituency to assess the functioning of key public institutions and ongoing developmental works. She visited PHC Kakapora, SDH Pampore, and Government Degree College (GDC) Pampore.

At PHC Kakapora, Minister Sakeena inspected healthcare services, infrastructure, and staff deployment. She instructed the executing agency to expedite work on the under-construction health centre building and assured that the Government remains committed to strengthening healthcare delivery in the Union Territory.

During her visit to SDH Pampore, the Minister inaugurated a Dialysis Unit, fulfilling a long-pending demand of the local population. Addressing the gathering, she noted that the facility would spare patients with chronic kidney diseases the burden of travelling long distances for dialysis.

At Government Degree College Pampore, Minister Sakeena launched Shakh-e-Zafran, the institution’s new biannual newsletter, and reviewed the academic and infrastructural framework of the college. She directed officials to complete ongoing projects, strengthen drainage facilities, beautify the premises, and macadamise roads on priority.

The Minister also reviewed arrangements for the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha festival and stressed ensuring the availability of ration, essential medicines, and sanitation around religious places. She called on the administration to ensure smooth celebrations through timely coordination and service delivery.

The visit was accompanied by MLA Pampore Justice (Retd.) Hasnain Masoodi, MLA Rajpora Ghulam Mohi Uddin Mir, and directors and officers from departments including Health, Social Welfare, Education, R&B, and Agriculture.
