SRINAGAR: An 8-year-old child suffered serious injuries after being struck by a private vehicle in the Diladar area of Karnah, located in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
According to an official, the incident took place in Dildar area involving a Bareeza car bearing registration number JK09C-0879. The car was traveling from Tanghdar to Chamkote when it collided with the pedestrian, identified as Ayaan Maqbool (8), the son of Mohd Maqbool, a resident of Dildar Karnah. The child sustained severe injuries as a result of the accident.
Local residents initially rushed the injured child to SDH Tanghdar, from where he was referred to GMC Handwara for advanced medical treatment. The police have taken note of the incident. (KNS)
