A 3-year-old girl slipped to death into an irrigational canal near her house in Kangan area of Ganderbal district in central Kashmir on Wednesday.
A local source said that the deceased minor identified as Seerat Bashir,3, daughter of Bashir Ahmad Dar, slipped to an irrigational canal while playing near her house in Lal Mohalla Satruna in Kangan this afternoon.
Seerat was immediately fished out and rushed to Sub District Hospital Kangan for the treatment, however, doctors present there declared her as brought dead, he said.
After completing all the legal formalities the body of the minor was handed over to her family for last rites, reports said.
