SRINAGAR: A 10-year-old boy sustained injuries after being hit by an unidentified vehicle in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday, officials said.
The incident took place in the Check Keller area, where the vehicle allegedly struck the child and fled from the scene, leaving him injured.
The injured boy has been identified as Sahil Ahmad Gakhad, around 10 years old, son of Mohammad Ishaq Gakhad, a resident of Mastpora, Check Keller.
Soon after the incident, the child was shifted to Sub-District Hospital Keller for immediate medical attention.
Officials said he was subsequently referred to District Hospital Pulwama for specialised treatment.
The vehicle involved in the accident has not yet been identified, and further details are awaited. (KNT)
