Asking Omar Abdullah to set down from the chair of Chief Minister, Chairman Hurriyat (M) Mirwaiz Umer Farooq said that he agreed with the statement of the CM wherein he had called himself helpless and a daily wager. Stating that Omar Abdullah has no right to sit on the chair of the CM, he invited NC and PDP to join the freedom movement.

“Omar Abdullah has himself admitted that he is helpless. We know it and agree with his statement. It is time for him to introspect and resign”, Mirwaiz told KNS.

Calling the CM a person in power but not in authority, he said, “What people could expect from a government which failed to revoke AFSPA. If it (Government) cannot have this concession from centre how could it solve the Kashmir issue or problems of the people of the State?”

Questioning the conscience of mainstream politicians, he asked them to resign and invited them to join freedom struggle. He said that all the members in house of state legislation of NC and PDP should resign as a mark of protest against their helplessness. “If these people (Main stream politicians) really have a  conscience and liusten to it, they should resign as a mark of protest and send message out to the international community and world that they’re helpless and have failed to protect the precious lives of innocent people in Kashmir. Let them admit that they have failed to deliver justice to the murderers of the innocent Kashmiris”. He said that mainstream parties are the puppets of central government.

Speaking about the alleged massacres and killings by forces in the Valley, Hurriyat Chairman alleged the central government of outsourcing the ‘contract of killing’ to various security agencies. “These agencies have been assigned a job to kill as many Kashmiris as they could”.

When asked about the conditional resignation of senior PDP leader Muzafar Hussain Beigh, he said, “This is all drama and every act of their’s is a part of the political drama”

Hurriyat Chairman said that since last one month, all resistance leaders have been put under arrest and the government has forcefully suspended the freedom of people in Kashmir at gun point. “All leaders are under arrest and people are forced to stay inside at the use of cruel force. The silence of graveyard has been imposed in the Valley at gun point. Is this a democracy of India”, questioned Mirwaiz.

Reiterating its demand for the return of mortal remains of Parliament attack convict Mohammad Afzal Guru, Mirwaiz said that it is the one point agenda of the Hurriyat Conference. “Demand to return the mortal remains of Mohammad Afzal Guru is our one point agenda and India has to return it”, said Mirwaiz.
