Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) on Monday expressed serious concern over the prevailing situation in Kashmir stating that under a well-planned conspiracy, killings are being committed with Delhi displaying its full force to crush the genuine dissent.

The AAC spokesman while strongly condemning the killings of people especially those who were killed in Sunday’s at Shopian stating that young boys are writing history with their hot blood and time is not far when the mission of “martyr”s would be achieved.

The AAC spokesman said that the mission of “martyrs” will be taken to its logical conclusion no matter how repressive measures government of India would take to muzzle the voices of Kashmiris. The AAC expressed heartfelt sympathy with the families of “martyrs” including the five armed youth and five civilians killed in forces action at South Kashmir on Sunday and prayed for the speedy recovery of hundreds of injured youth.

The AAC said that Kashmir issue is purely a humanitarian and a political issue which can only be resolved by implementing the UN resolutions or through tripartite dialogue, but unfortunately, New Delhi is adopting an iron fist policy and the policy is to force the people of Kashmir into a submission.

The AAC spokesman strongly condemned the government’s decision of not allowing the AAC patron and APHC chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other resistance leaders to proceed towards civil secretariat and detaining entire resistance leadership to foil the resistance camp’s call of secretariat Chalo tormenting it as ultimate highhandedness.

The AAC spokesman said the meeting to finalize the “Hafta-e-Shahadat (Martyrs Week)” 2018 programmes has been postponed due to the house confinement of AAC patron Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and prevailing situation.
