Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Monday welcoming the Supreme Court order on Kathua rape-and-murder case said the decision would go a long way to boost the morale of Jammu and Kashmir police.

Taking to social networking site Twitter, Mehbooba wrote: “I welcome today’s decision by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the Kathua case. This will go a long way to boost the morale of our @JmuKmrPolice force who in the face of great adversity have left no stone unturned to ensure that the deceased’s family gets justice.”

On Monday, the apex court transferred the trial in Kathua rape-and-murder case of an eight-year-old Muslim nomadic girl to Pathankot in Punjab.
