SRINAGAR: The Mirwaiz family on Saturday mourned the passing of Mirwaiz Mohammad Ahmad, son of renowned Islamic scholar Muhajir-e-Millat and Mufassir-e-Quran, Mirwaiz Yousuf Shah (RA).
Mirwaiz Mohammad Ahmad passed away last night in Islamabad, Pakistan, following a brief illness. His absentia funeral prayers will be held on Monday, November 4, at 1:00 pm at Jama Masjid Srinagar.
The bereaved family, led by Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, will receive condolences (Taziyat) at Mirwaiz Manzil in Nigeen. The local community has expressed deep sadness over the loss of this respected figure, who held a revered place in Kashmir’s religious and cultural heritage.
