NC, Congress to Hold Three Key Meetings Ahead of Jammu Kashmir Assembly Session

   

SRINAGAR: Ahead of the first session of the Jammu  Kashmir Legislative Assembly, the National Conference and Congress have scheduled separate legislature party meetings this Sunday evening, followed by a joint meeting, sources revealed.

National Conference will convene its legislature party meeting at the Banquet Hall in Srinagar at 6:30 pm.

Senior National Conference leader and MLA for Baramulla, Javaid Hussain Baig, confirmed to KNO that the party’s legislature meeting will proceed as scheduled. Pradesh Congress Committee President Tariq Hamid Karra also informed KNO that the Congress legislature meeting is set for 5:00 pm.

Sources added that all legislators from the ruling alliance will gather at 7:30 pm to discuss strategies for countering opposition attacks and ensuring smooth government business in the Assembly.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is expected to question the ruling alliance on issues concerning the Jammu region, while the Peoples Democratic Party, Peoples Conference, and two independent members from Kashmir may seek clarity on the ruling party’s stance and commitments regarding Article 370.
