Mirwaiz Umar Farooq led Hurriyat Conference Friday paid tributes to five militants killed in Shopian on Thursday.

Paying tributes to the five militants, spokesperson of the amalgam said, “the priceless sacrifices would not be allowed to go waste and the mission of martyrs would be taken forward at all costs.”

“A high level Hurriyat delegation led by senior leaders Zaffar Akbar Bhat and Javaid Ahmad Mir visited Shopian and offered their commiseration and tributes to the families of deceased rebels,” the statement said.

“Asserting that the sacrifices of the martyrs were the priceless asset of freedom struggle, the delegates said the blood offered by the martyrs have energized the struggle and highlighted the Kashmir cause internationally.

The delegates said that India and Pakistan should shun the confrontation and start a meaningful dialogue to end the era of insecurity and instability in entire South Asia,” the statement added.
