The Jammu and Kashmir Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Limited (SICOP) Friday signed ‘Memorandum of Understanding’ with All Changthang Pashmina Growers Co-operative Society, (ACPGCS) Leh for procurement of Raw Pashmina and its onwards sale to the artisans, an official statement said.
“This was decided in the high level meeting held in the Office Chamber of Financial Commissioner, Industries & Commerce Department, Civil Secretariat Jammu, Mr. Khurshid Ahmad Ganai,” the statement informed.
Chairman-cum-CEC LAHDC, Rigzin Spalbar, Executive Councillor, Sh. Gurmeet Dorjey, District Dev. Commissioner, Leh, Director Handicrafts, MD J&K SICOP, Director Finance, I&C Deptt, Chairman, ACPGCS, Leh, President, FICK and other officers of SICOP were present on the occasion, it added.
