Miscreants allegedly set the house of a former militant on fire in Vilgam hamlet of North Kashmir’s Handwara town.
The former militant Bilal Molvi told CNS that some miscreants set the house on fire when all the family members had gone outside to pay obeisance at a shrine.
The house belongs to three brothers and, “we believe that it was the handiwork of our political rivals,” one of the brothers Imtiyaz Ahmed who is a ward member said.
Police has registered a case and investigation has been taken up in this regard.
