Police recovered the corpse of the 3 year old baby Aksa Jan who was reported missing by her parents during the day.Parents of the family had driven to Press Colony to protest claiming the baby was lifted by somebody.
Within hours after Zahoor A Khanday registered a case, police acted fast and started searching for her near their home near Khayam. They went towards the marsh, not far away from their home, and found her dead.
Police accompanied by the SDRF personnel recovered the body from Bilal Colony.The baby might have strayed into the marsh and failed to return. Police and SDRF had a tough time retrieving the body from water that was 20 ft deep.They have started investigation under section 174 CrPC in this regard.
Parents of the baby has come in a delegation to press colony alleging that their daughter was lifted by somebody. They wanted police action and when police acted the baby was dead not far way from the courtyard she was playing in.
