Police recovered the body of the missing police Head Constable from an open field in Baramulla, police said on Monday.
Head Constable Abdul Rashid Hakeem son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Malpora Sheeri who was posted as Guard Commander at a minority Picket at Veervan Pandit Colony Baramulla was reported missing on January 20, 2014 from the guard room.
The body of the Head Constable was found from an open field at Khadiniyar, in Baramulla.
Police took the body under custody and proceedings under section 174 CrPC were initiated to ascertain the cause of the death.
The dead body was later handed over to his next of kins for last rites after completion of all legal formalities.
