SRINAGAR: A 60-year-old man who had been reported missing was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Khawas village of the Koteranka area in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Monday, reports said.
The deceased was identified as Khan Mir, son of Juma, a resident of Khawas village.
According to reports, the body was recovered under suspicious circumstances, prompting police to launch an investigation. The incident has left the village in mourning.
Police have taken cognisance of the case and initiated proceedings to ascertain the cause and circumstances of the death.
The body has been taken for medico-legal formalities, while further investigation is underway.
