Governor NN Vohra on Monday administered the oath as Minister for the State including two BJP MLAs.

Ex-Speaker of Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta took oath as Minister for the state. He is taking Oath in the Hindi language.

He was first to take oath from Governor NN Vohra. Gupta is all set to take over as Deputy Chief Minister.

PDP MLA Mohammad Khalil Band as minister for the State took the oath. In Urdu language, Khalil Band took an oath of integrity and secrecy.

BJP MLA (Jammu West Assembly seat) Sat Paul Sharma takes oath in the Hindi Language after supporters of BJP shouted slogan like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”.

PDP MLA  Mohammad Ashraf Mir took oath as Minister for the State in the English language.

MLA Kishtwar Sunil Kumar Sharma took oath in the Hindi language.

MLA Kathua Rajeev Jasrotia as minister for the state took oath in the English language.

MLA Samba Davinder Kumar Manyal took oath in English language.

MLA Doda Shakti Raj Parihar took in English language amid slogan “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”.

The function was held at the convention centre instead of Raj Bhavan as the Jammu and Kashmir government has already shifted its base to summer capital Srinagar, part of the bi-annual darbar move under which the government functions for six months in Jammu and six months in Srinagar.

Earlier Dr Nirmal Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Bali Bhagat, Abdul Haq Khan, Sunil Kumar Sharma and Priya Sethi resigned from their respective ministries and their resignation was accepted by the governor.
