Mobile internet service in Kashmir was restored after almost twelve hours, on Sunday. The service was suspended early in the morning.

Kashmir observed complete shutdown amidst strict restrictions on the first death anniversary of Parliament attack convict, Mohammad Afzal Guru, hanged and buried in Tihar Jail Delhi on February 9, 2013.

Sources said that suspension of internet mobile service was a “security major” on part of the administration.

Earlier, on Sunday, Kashmiris witnessed stringent deployment of police and CRPF personnel and suspension of the internet service.

Though the deployment is still there and is expected till Tuesday, evening, mobile internet service was restored at the end of the first day of three day protest calendar issued by the separatists.
