Prof Saif-u-Din Soz, President Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) on Friday said if Narendra Modi becomes the Prime Minister, the same will invite fascism and sectarianism in the country.

Talking to KNS, from Rajouri, the former union minister for water resources said: “I am sure Modi will soon realize that it is not easy to become the Prime Minister of India and God forbid if he becomes the Prime Minister by chance, the same will be fraught with dangerous consequences for the    country. Modi will invite sectarianism and fascism in the country.”

Soz observed that only India can remain united ethnically, culturally and geographically only under the Congress rule. “The Congress high command under the leadership of Madam Sonia Gandhi and Mr Rahul Gandhi has the ability to retain the unity of the country which we are proud of.”

Soz also told KNS, Modi’s elevation to prime ministerial candidature will prove costly for his party BJP. “The BJP is bound to realize that it committed a big blunder by fielding Modi  as its prime ministerial candidates. The people across the country know that Congress does not believe in division on the basis of religion, caste, creed, language or ethnicity.  People have also become politically mature enough to judge the difference between the two parties.”

The PCC chief told KNS that Congress in Jammu and Kashmir has reached at a stage where the people  want to be identified with it. “We were already there in Jammu, Ladakh, Leh and Kargil but people in Kashmir valley have also realized that Congress alone has the ability to bring peace, prosperity and development to them.”

Soz added that during his visit to Rajouri, Mendhar and Darhall, many people especially youth joined the party.  “This is because people especially the youth understand that Congress has the ability to keep the country and the different divisions of the state united. They also understand that Congress has the ability to take people irrespective of their religion and affiliations along.”

The PCC president claimed that given its clean image and the priority for development, the Congress party is sure to emerge as a single largest party in the state in coming elections.

Soz was accompanied by Abdul Majeed Wani minister R&, Shabir Ahmad Khan minister for health , Ravidner Kumar Sharma, MLC and other party colleagues.
