SRINAGAR: With the election process for Srinagar constituency complete and Dr Farooq Abdullah declared as winner, JKLF leader Muhammad Yasin Malik was bailed out on Saturday.

Party sources said he was presented before 1st additional district and session judge who after a long discussion ordered to release him on bail. Later, he was driven back to Srinagar Central Jail from where he was released this evening.

Malik was arrested by police on March 18, 2016 and sent to Central Jail on a 12 days judicial remand. On March 29, he was again presented before 2nd additional session’s judge who again remanded him to judicial custody until April 11, 2017. Then, he was again presented before court and remanded until April 15, 2016. It is worth to mention that JKLF chairman was put in jail in a case under 13 unlawful activity act of 2016.

Another JKLF senior member Muhammad Irfan Khan who also has been languishing in central jail Srinagar from last 30 days was also today presented before court and court has again sent him on an 8 days judicial remand. He was again taken back to central jail Srinagar.
