The weather office has predicted moderate to rather heavy rain or snow at most places over the state during the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile snowfall disrupted the normal life throughout Kashmir valley on Monday.
After heavy rains lashed Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir for many hours yesterday, it started snowing in the Monday morning putting the normal life to a halt. Due to snow the Srinagar-Jammu highway was closed and there was no possibility of flights landing in Srinagar on Monday.
Schools which were scheduled to reopen Monday for primary and middle classes were also closed for the day though no official announcement was made in this regard.
