SRINAGAR: A 28-year-old motorcyclist died after he apparently lost control of his bike and crashed into a shop at Shiraz Chowk in the Khanyar area of Srinagar on Thursday, officials said.
The deceased was identified as Altaf Hussain, a resident of Sangerwani in Pulwama district.
According to an official, altaf was riding a Bajaj Pulsar bearing registration number JK13F-2915 when he lost control of the motorcycle and collided with a nearby shop.
He sustained injuries in the crash and died at the spot, the official said.
After being informed by locals, police reached the scene and took cognisance of the incident. An investigation is underway, officials said.
