A motorcyclist lost control over his bike and plunged into a nearby canal and got drowned at Atwatoo in Bandipora district last evening, police said on Monday.
The motorcyclist Ajaz Ahmad Sheer Gojri son of Abdul Ahad resident of Quil Muqam Bandipora got drowned in canal when he lost control of his bike Yamaha bearing registration number JK05-1836 while travelling from Atwatoo to Tangath and plunged into the nearby canal at Atwatoo, in Bandipora.
The body of Ajaz was later fished out from the canal and handed over to his relatives for last rites. The motorcycle was also retrieved from the canal.
