SRINAGAR: A motorcyclist from central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district was killed in a road accident in the Zanskar region of Ladakh, officials said on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Sajad Ahmad, a resident of Checki Prang in Kangan. He is survived by his wife and three children.
According to officials, the accident occurred in the Zanskar area when the motorcycle ridden by Sajad Ahmad met with an accident under circumstances that are yet to be established. He sustained critical injuries and died despite efforts to save him.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the circumstances and cause of the fatal accident.
