SRINAGAR: One motorcyclist was killed and another sustained injuries after their motorcycle collided with a Tata Matador Video Coach in the Botingoo area of Sopore town in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Officials said the deceased was identified as Mohinoor Mir Ali, a resident of West Bengal, who was reportedly working as a goldsmith in Srinagar.
The injured rider was identified as Minhaj Mir Ali.
The motorcycle, bearing registration number JK01BC-6080, collided with a Tata Matador Video Coach bearing registration number JK05N-9576, which was reportedly travelling towards Sopore from Bandipora.
A team from Police Station Warpora reached the spot and shifted the injured persons to SDH Sopore, where doctors declared Mohinoor Mir Ali brought dead.
Police have initiated an investigation into the incident to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the accident. (JKNS)
