SRINAGAR: Incumbent Parliamentarian and Awami Itehaad Party (AIP) Chief, Engineer Abdul Rashid Sheikh, who is currently lodged in Tihar Jail, will go on a hunger strike from Friday to protest against the ‘ill-treatment’.
AIP leaders addressed media persons and said that the party Chief will go on a hunger strike from tomorrow in the jail premises to protest the alleged atrocities committed against him.
Advocate G M Shaheen, AIP leader, accompanied by other party members, urged the Government of India to allow the incarcerated leader to attend the next Parliament session. (KNO)
