SRINAGAR: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has appointed Member of Parliament Mian Altaf Ahmad, representing the Rajouri-Anantnag Parliamentary constituency, as a member of the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Haj Committee.
The appointment has been made under Section 17(1) and 18(1) of the Haj Committee Act, 2002, in conjunction with Rule 20 of the Haj Committee Rules, 2002.
An official order confirming the decision reads that Mian Altaf Ahmad’s term will be co-terminous with the members appointed via notification S.O. 344 dated July 20, 2022.
