Police have arrested two cheaters who were duping people by claiming that they can provide them loan from different Banks in exchange of bribe.

According to a local news gathering agency, police post Ban Mohalla in Srinagar received an information that some people in Fatehkadal area are duping innocent inhabitants of the area by claiming that they can get a hefty loan sanctioned for them from various Banks. Upon verification Police found one person namely Umar Ahmad Khan son of Bashir Ahmad Khan resident of Khankah who has been duped of Rs.30000 by the cheats.

During investigation it surfaced that 2 persons namely Farooq Ahmad Sheikh son of Sana Ullah Sheikh of Batamaloo and Arshad Hussain Sheikh son of Ghulam Nabi Sheikh resident of Naidkadal have duped the Umar Ahmad Khan of Rs.30000 by claiming that if he pays Rs.80000 to them they will get loan of Rs. 8 Lakhs sanctioned to him from JK Bank in 7 days.

Umar paid Rs.30000 to them and rest he was supposed to pay in next 03 days. Both the cheats have been arrested by Police Post Ban Mohalla in Case FIR No.25/2014 U/S 420 RPC registered in P/ S MR Gunj against them. An amount of Rs.30000/= has been recovered from them and the Police is investigating the role of other persons in this fraud.

Meanwhile few more complainants have approached Police Post Ban Mohalla claiming that they have been cheated in same manner by accused Farooq Ahmad Sheikh. Further investigation is going on.
