Muharram Procession: Traffic Restrictions Announced on Srinagar-Baramulla Road on July 11

   

SRINAGAR: The Traffic Police Rural Kashmir has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the Muharram procession scheduled to be held at Mirgund Pattan on July 11, announcing diversions on the Srinagar-Baramulla road.

According to the advisory issued by Senior Superintendent of Police, Traffic Rural Kashmir, Liaqat Ali (JKPS), vehicular movement on the route will remain affected from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Saturday.

The police have advised motorists to avoid unnecessary travel on the stretch during the specified hours and follow the diversion plan to ensure smooth movement of traffic.

As per the advisory, Srinagar-bound vehicles coming from Baramulla and Kupwara will be diverted through Hamray–Pattan–Hanjiveera–KP Payeen–Jheel Bridge–Gund Khawja Qasim–Mazahama–Narbal before reaching Srinagar.

Similarly, vehicles heading towards Baramulla, Sopore and Kupwara from Srinagar will be diverted via Narbal–Magam–Kongamdara–Hanjiveera–Pattan–Hamray and onwards towards their destinations.

The advisory has been issued in public interest, with authorities urging commuters to cooperate and follow the prescribed routes during the Muharram procession.
