SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir’s chief electoral officer on Friday extended the deadline for filing objections and suggestions on draft reservation proposals of wards for urban local bodies.
Citing demands from political parties and other stakeholders, the CEO on Friday extended the timeline for submission of feedback on the proposal till September 14.
“Keeping in view the demand of various stakeholders and in order to give a fair opportunity to all stakeholders to make their claims/ objections, the last date for receiving objections/ suggestions w.r.t. the draft reservation notification is hereby extended to September 14,” reads the notification issued by the office of CEO.
The CEO, in the order, said that several requests have been received from deputy commissioners as well as political parties and other stakeholders to extend the last date for filing objections/ suggestions on account of holidays and the requirement of more time to look into the details of the proposal—(KNO)
